Elemental Course of CBM Infrared Thermography (IRT) & Ultrasound Detection Technique for TNB Overhead Lines System
Introduction
Power utility companies all over the world implementing various methods of inspection to evaluate the condition of overhead line systems. Each technique have their own benefit and limitation. Because of that, every available method need to be employed together for example Ultrasound detection (USD) technique and Infrared Thermography (IRT) in order to have a more conclusive judgment on the condition of the network system.
Participant shall understand clearly the fundamentals of Infrared Thermography (IRT) and Ultrasound Detection Method (USD) methods. Hence, helping the participant to analyze the inspection report correctly.
Here at ILSAS, participant will gain experience with hands on session that build up foundation knowledge of camera operation and USD’s detector while sharpening the basic concept of CBM through the practical activities.
