Distribution Planning Module 1 – LV Planning for Executive
Introduction
The objective of a Power Distribution System is to deliver electrical power to customers in the most reliable, safest and economical way possible. To meet customers’ demands in performance and availability, several parameters of electricity supply such as frequency, continuity of supply, voltage level etc. must be within allowable limits. Additionally, the capital and operating costs of doing so should be kept at the most optimum level, taking into account the total cost of ownership and losses in the system.
This course details out and standardize the planning methodology in TNB Distribution by referring to the latest edition of Low Voltage (LV) Planning Guidelines. TNB Distribution Planners will leave with a basic understanding of theory and practical application. Participants will also be introduced to additional requirements for adopting the changes in technology and the expansion of network.
