Introduction
The fast-growing global drone industry is already catering to a long list of clients in agriculture, land management, energy, and construction. In the next few years, most growth in the drone industry is on the commercial at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 19% between 2015 and 2020, shifting away from the traditional military market.
In the context of TNB, drone technology has been widely used in many applications (e.g. to conduct Transmission Quality Assurance & Quality Control Inspections). As such, there is a need for TNB to train competent personal to handle drone. However, there is no accredited commercial training center for drone. Thus, it is timely for ILSAS to explore the potential to be one of the accredited commercial training centers for drone.
