Power Transformer – Fundamentals, Operation & Maintenance
Introduction
Participants will be trained on transformer theory such as transformer construction, types of insulating medium, active parts, and cooling system use. The course will also impart information on transformer accessories use, types of transformer protections and how to understand transformer nameplates, the maintenance of power transformers.
This maintenance course will reference the specifications and guidelines from TNB Transmission Division. On the last day, participants will take an evaluation test on the information learned from the course.

- Types of Construction (Shell Type, Core Type)
- Insulation, Windings, Core, Cooling Systems, Voltage level, Sizing, Tank, Preservation System
