A Corporate Academy for TNB and the Energy Sector
TNB ILSAS is the premier corporate academy in Malaysia. It is the official training institute for Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB). Specialising in people solutioning for human capital excellence. TNB ILSAS has nurtured the human capital of Malaysia’s Electric Supply Industry (MESI) for over 40 years.
Established in 1978 and incorporated as a subsidiary of TNB later in 2008, TNB ILSAS’s strong affiliation with the largest power utility in Malaysia makes it a first-rate training provider and an authority many organizations turn to for consultations and services.
All of the technical capability development programs conducted by TNB ILSAS are in line with the requirement of the Malaysia Electricity Supply Act 1990, Electricity Regulations 1994, Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994, Efficient Management of Electrical Energy Regulations 2008 (EMEER 2008), Renewable Energy Act 2011, Energy Commission Distribution Code, The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), Industrial Revolution, Digital Transformation, etc.
The selected training modules in ILSAS are also accredited by City & Guilds UK (for the technical programs), and Institute Leadership & Management (ILM) UK (for the leadership & management training modules).
Expert Consultancy & Services
TNB ILSAS has been providing expert consultancy services to TNB and other industries.
The scopes of the consultancy & services cover topics on change management, organization development, business model canvas, team building, delight customer culture, business development, business intelligence, data analytics, smart meter, Condition Based Assessment (CBA), power system study, mechanical equipment, power quality, renewable energy, energy efficiency, protection etc.

About
ILSAS Malim Nawar is a branch of TNB ILSAS located in the state of Perak. This training facilities at ILSAS Malim covers an area over 60 acres. The training facility has 6 classrooms that can accommodate a total of 147 people. It has 3 main workshops: Overhead Line, Underground Cable, Substation & protection.
The ILSAS Drone Academy is also located at Malim Nawar. The training programs conducted here comprises of engineering training, business training, IT, leadership, management, drone etc. The most stand out courses are the Professional Certified Drone Practitioner, OLTC Fundamentals and Operation of Tower Wagon. ILSAS Malim Nawar is accredited by Suruhanjaya Tenaga (EC) to conduct chargeman courses (A0-A4) and (B0-B4)
Facilities
ILSAS Malim Nawar can provide accommodations for up to 108 people. It has 9 spacious houses on its premises.
There are two cafeterias: Seri Tanjung, which can seat 24 people and Tanjung Corner which can seat up to 88 people; bringing the total of people to 112.
It also has a futsal court, sepak takraw court, and ping pong tables for recreation.
Besides providing training, ILSAS Malim Nawar also rents out its premises for homestay, wedding events, and seminar packages.

About
ILSAS Kulai is the latest branch of TNB ILSAS, located in the state of Johore.It is located on the premise that was previously known as Johor Technical Center (JTeC) which was a training centre for TNB Johor personnel.
TNB ILSAS took over the ownership of the training centre in 2015. ILSAS Kulai began its operations on 20 May 2018 to serve the training needs of TNB’s staffs and the electricity industry in the southern region of Peninsular Malaysia.
It has 4 classrooms that can accommodate a total of 112 people and has facilities for the training of TNB’ staffs, Chargemen, Cable Jointers and Competent Engineers.
ILSAS Kulai is also accredited by Suruhanjaya Tenaga (EC).
Facilities
It has a conference room for discussions, meetings, and decision making which holds up to 20 people. The cafeteria can cater up to 25 people at a time.
