Maintenance of tap changer and electrical tests after maintenance. Commissioning of transformer and long term storage. The participant are taught with the reference of specification and guide line of TNB Transmission.

The 2 days course is meant mainly for TNB staff who will be directly involved during wide area supply restoration due to power system related disturbance or incidents. Such personnel will be from NLDC, Regional and Distribution Control Centers, Power Plant operators, emergency response department and key operational staff in TNB core divisions. Such personnel are assumed to have a working knowledge of the power system and power supply restoration requirements. The course will refresh participants on the complexity of system behavior in maintaining frequency, voltage and angle stability under various faults/disturbance conditions, the types of system defense schemes available and the systematic restoration of a power system under major brownout or total system blackout condition. This module serves to involve participants to be familiar with TNB’s system blackout and TNB ERP procedures.
