Overview:
This course will cover basic of air conditioning and refrigeration cycle including centralized systems and its' main components.

Main material of course is to cover the various types, components and maintenance routine for the chiller plant. This detail breakdown into cooling tower systems, heat exchangers, chilled water system, and Air Handling Unit.

Also covered in the material is some basic to control and regulation of the plant, factors affecting plant performance, basic operation readings, and basic safety guidelines.

Objective:
  • Able to state the basic principle of centralized air conditioning system and DCS
  • Able to explain various types of cooling tower working system, compressor used in centralized system, heat exchanger system, chilled water system, and Air Handling Unit – AHU
  • Able to perform some basic maintenance and troubleshooting for air conditioning systems
