Overview:
TCO is used to represent all of the costs, including direct and indirect costs over asset life cycle associated with owning capital assets required to support business operations. It is used as a tool to Identify issues to consider when making decisions relating to the acquisition, operation, maintenance and disposal of major assets and also to help improve asset related decision making.

The training programme has been developed to provide an overview of Asset Management & Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) to TNB executives The course is open to participants from various backgrounds (both technical and non-technical) who are involved directly in the acquisitions of assets, decision makers and also for personnel who are interested to learn more about the whole life costing of an asset.
 

Objective:

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to explain clearly:

• The main principles of Incentive Based Regulation
• Asset management concepts
• The concept of Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) of asset

Participants should also be able to calculate correctly the total cost of ownership of an asset.
