132 kV Transmission Protection Competency Training Part 1 (Theory) is referring to the fundamental of protected equipment and scheme. In this course, the participant can share experience on settings, testing & commissioning, troubleshooting fault case studies, fault investigation and engineering analysis.

Objective:
After attending this course the participants shall be able to:

• Define and describe the Power System Protection and Fault Clearing System
• Describe the purpose & types of Current & Voltage Transformer
• Describe the schemes in Protection & Control drawings
• Explain schematic circuit, setting calculation & testing procedure  of Transformer Protection (Transformer Bias Differential, REF, SBEF)
• Explain the Overcurrent relay coordination
• Describe Automatic Voltage Regulation  - Scheme and Components
• Describe the basic design and protection of Capacitor Bank       System
• Describe the Purpose & components of  DC system
Substation Auxiliary System
• Explain on fault investigation & analysis
