Overview:
The course is designed to be useful for Condition Based Maintenance Team from technician up to engineer level in term of how to do correct condition based assessment on Distribution Substation components. Theory and practical class in this course are designed to prepare the participants to be competence CBM operators which are able to apply related theory on CBM, conducting CBM tests, analyze the result and producing the report with correct format. Types of CBM techniques that are covered in this course such as TEV, Ultra sound and IR thermography are the latest approach that has been embarks in TNB Distribution maintenance regime and according to the latest   standard PSI, guidelines and format.

Objective:
At the end of the session, participants should be able:
 
·                Identify CBM methodology
·                Define partial discharge in distribution substation components
·                Identify the criteria of internal discharge and surface discharge
·                Able to operate Ultra TEV+ to detect PD
·                Define infrared thermography
·                Understand what makes thermography unique and useful
·                Understand what the infrared image represents
·                Identify irregular hot spot emitted from substation equipment
·                Able to operate Thermography equipment & execute proper reporting / documentation
