132kV Power System Protection And Control Practical Training - Module 2 (Exec)

Overview:
132kV power system protection & control practical training module 1 (exec) course is for protection engineers background.  Theory will be covered on the first day. For the transformer differential, participant will be guided to determine the HV and LV current angle and draw the fault current distribution in the T’xmer differential protection circuit for YNd1 T’xmer Vector Group, to carry out secondary stability test on the Transformer Bias Differential protection scheme as to ensure correct relay setting and configuration applied to the relay and also they will be guided to develop the transformer bias differential characteristic using OMICRON *.rio format that will be used further during secondary test with OMICRON CMC256 / 346 test equipment.

For line differential, the participant will be guided how to do protection & communication testing. As for busbar protection, they will be guided to carry out secondary operation test on the Busbar protection scheme as to ensure correct relay setting and configuration applied to the relay.

Objective:

After attending this course the participants shall be able to:

• To determine the HV and LV current angle and draw the fault current distribution in the T’xmer differential protection circuit for YNd1 T’xmer Vector Group. 
• To carry out secondary stability test on the Transformer Bias Differential protection scheme as to ensure correct relay setting and configuration applied to the relay by using OMICRON *.rio format during secondary test with OMICRON CMC256 / 346 test equipment.
• To do investigation and analysis for abnormal operation of the Transformer Bias Differential Relay.
• To develop Omicron test plan and perform synchronising function test.
• To carry out testing on distance protection relay by using Omicron 3 phase secondary test equipment.
