The course is designed to improve participant’s knowledge and skill to work out on:
  • Grid system and load profile
  • Black out and consequences
  • Black start procedure and protocol
  • Islanding operation procedure
  • Case study for islanding operation
  • Single line diagram of power plant blackstart facility
  • Emergency Response Plan (ERP) for blackout and emergency

The trainers will guide and facilitate the participants. The training format is theoretical and case study reviews.

Objective:
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
  • Understand the concept of island operation in grid system
  • Explain the single line diagram of power plant blackstart facility and its local network interconnection
  • Define blackout and plant safe shutdown or house load operation
  • Explain station black start facilities
  • Understand and aware of Emergency Response Plan (ERP) for blackout and emergency
