The main focus is frequency stability in power generation.  By attending this course, participant will understand basic information on speed governors and their application for power system control.  In order for the electricity to be transmitted safely and efficiently it must be at high voltage (pressure) and a low current (flow).  This is because if the current is too high, the line would heat up to much and even melt.  If the voltage were to low, hardly any energy would be carried.  The device which controls the speed of a prime mover is called governors.  Governors vary prime mover output (MW) automatically for changes in system frequency (speed).

This course offers for participants to recognize the half load operation during abnormal operations and operate the plant in Half Draft, Half Condenser and Runbacks using simulator without failure.  Its consists of half condenser operation procedure, half draft operation procedure and runback operation.

Participant  will  be  taken  through  the  vast  experience  of  this  course.  The  emphasis  is  on participants continuing participation in ensuring the ultimate success of the courses.
