Overview:

This course is designed to explain the basic criteria for welding requirement that affect procedure and performance. Participants will be guided in reviewing the Welding. Identify and understand the working principle and application of Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), understand common welding defect, understand methods of detecting welding defect (NDT) and perform welding on mild steel plate (Straight Bead, Padding & 1F Position).

The training format is theory and practical, where the participants will be actively involved in the class & practical activities. Hence, it will increase their confidence level.

Participant will be taken through the vast experience of welding procedure and performance by the trainers. The emphasis is on participants continuing participation in ensuring the ultimate success of the course.

Overview:
The course is designed to improve participant’s knowledge on shaft alignment technology. The trainers will guide and facilitate the participants through examples and demonstration on physical alignment rigs and real pump at ILSAS alignment laboratory.

Participants shall be introduced to various types of precision equipment such as vernier caliper, micrometer, dial gauge and feeler gauge. Measuring techniques and basic trouble-shooting will be discussed.
Objective:
Upon completion of this course, participants will be:

  • Perform shaft alignment using single Indicator method
  • Perform shaft alignment within specified tolerance
  • Carry out corrective action on misalign shaft
  • Perform measuring techniques sweep reading
  • Perform alignment pump and motor

Overview:
The course is designed to improve participant’s knowledge on  reversed indicator method shaft alignment. Preparation to performing shaft alignment with reversed indicator method. The trainers will guide and facilitate the participants through examples and demonstration on alignment rigs at ILSAS alignment laboratory.
 
Principle of reversed indicator method shaft alignment will be taught from preparation, mounting the dial gauges, measuring techniques, calculation, and actual correction itself.
 
Other related topics covered is hot and cold alignment, the use of gaphical methods, and Laser Alignment technology.
Objective:
Upon completion of this course, participants will be:

  • Perform shaft alignment using reversed indicator techniques
  • Perform shaft alignment  using Laser Alignment
  • Perform shaft alignment within specified tolerance
  • Carry out corrective action on machine with hot and cold working condition
