Overview:
This course is designed to explain the basic criteria for welding requirement that affect procedure and performance. Participants will be guided in reviewing the Welding. Identify and understand the working principle and application of Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW), understand common welding defect, understand methods of detecting welding defect (NDT) and perform welding on mild steel plate (Straight Bead, Padding & 1F Position).

The training format is theory and practical, where the participants will be actively involved in the class & workshop activities. Hence, it will increase their confidence level.

Participant will be taken through the vast experience of welding procedure and performance by the trainers. The emphasis is on participants continuing participation in ensuring the ultimate success of the course.

Working Live on Gantry is also part of the Live Substation Team Job. In this course participants will be teach on how to work at height and the technique used for climbing. They will also teach on the safety aspect working with live part and also how to do maintenance as well, especially repairing hot-spot.
Objective:

• Participant will be able to follow and implement the method of climbing the gantry and perform maintenance including repairing hot-spot base on Live Working (LW) TNB Transmission correctly and safely.
