Overview:
This course will provide the principles of switching operation & switching procedures, standard practice of breaker operation. The goal of the course is to guide generation operation personal to familiarize with the responsibilities to perform safe working environment of electrical switching operation.

The trainers will guide and facilitate the participants. The training format is theoretical class and practical training.
Objective:

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:

• Interpret the High Voltage network single line diagram
• Perform the Switching operation with correct manner & to the safety of the plant and personal.
• Describe the function of NLDC
• Communicate between NLDC and UCR
• Describe the  major components of switchyard equipment
• Mention the important protective relays
• Describe alarms and response required

Overview:
The course provides a comprehensive knowledge about the High Voltage Generator Maintenance and Testing in power plant and industry environment. The targeted audience of this course are power plant electrical engineers, facility engineers and technical supervisors whose jobs involve in the maintenance of generator.

This course covers the competency requirements to recognize, diagnose and remedy an evolving generator problem quickly in order to prevent catastrophic failure of generator. The training methodology is theory and practical, where the participants will be actively involved in the class activities. At the end of the course, participants will be able to perform generator maintenance and testing in accordance with manufacturer’s specification.
Objective:
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Identify generator components and its constructions
  • Locate and rectify generator problems
  • Perform various tests on the generator
