Target Participant: PP05 STOR
This is a 3-day instructor-led course that covers the essential principles and technologies in IT for telecommunication technology, particularly on LAN and WAN. The emphasis will mainly be on identifying the standards and terminology related to LAN/WAN; determine strategy on planning a network; and troubleshooting tools and technique to manage and identify problem related to network.
The training format is theory and practical, where the participants will be actively involved in the class activities. Hence, it will increase their confidence level.
“Learning by doing” is a basic principle adopted in this training. Participant will be involved in practical sessions on how to make accessing router, configuration, ping and test and basic troubleshooting. Participant will be taken through the vast experience of training by the trainers. The emphasis is on participants continuing participation in ensuring the ultimate success of the workshop.
After attending this course and participant will be able to:
1. Define common networking terminology of LAN and WAN.
2. Compare and contrast the facets of LAN and WAN design.
3. Identify the appropriate hardware & software tools to manage the network.
4. Given a problem scenario, including symptoms, determine the most likely cause / causes of the problem based on the available information.
5. Describe TNB corporate network interconnections.
