Overview:
Kraftwerk-Kennzeichen System  (KKS) serves  to  unambiguously  identify  plants,  sections  of plants  and  items  of  equipment  in  any  type  of  power  station  according  to  task,  type  and location.  It  is  applicable  to  all  engineering  disciplines  (e.g.  process,  civil,  electrical, instrumentation  and  control  engineering).  It  is  used  for  planning,  licensing,  construction, operation & maintenance, re-powering and upgrade, demolition & recycling.

In other words, it  is  a  sole  designation  system  lasting  for  the  whole  lifecycle  of  a  power  plant  and  all  its systems, equipment and components.

To  planning,  setting-up  and  operating  power  plants  it  is  absolutely  necessary  to  use  a standardized  identification  system.  The  "Kraftwerk-Kennzeichen System  (KKS)"  is  such  a system.

given, the participant will be able to develop KKS codes from the
Piping/Process & Instrumentation Diagram (P&ID) given

Course Objectives:

On completion of the course, participant will be able to:

· List all breakdown levels of a KKS Codes
· To develop process related code for power plant
