Overview:
The course is to improve participant’s to control generator load governor and system frequency, control Excitation system and system voltage. The trainers will guide and facilitate the participants, so that they can to improve their ability to manage control the power system parameter.

The training format are theory and practical, whereby the participants will be actively involved in the class activitie to increase their confidence level.
Objective:
After attending this training program, participants will be able to:

·         Describe electrical power generation and related electrical parameters in power plant
·         Describe excitation system
·         Describe MVAR and System Voltage
·         Describe generator load governor and system frequency relationship in electrical island

Overview:
In this course, participants will be taught for basic characteristic in the relation of voltage, current and resistance and application of Ohm’s Law. The course also covered the basic hazard of electricity in related to the value of current and voltage. The Touch and Step voltage in substation also be mentioned. The power system started with generation. Type of power generation are the coal, oil and gas fired power station, hydro, solar and wind powered generation. Future power generations includes the nuclear, geothermal and tidal energy. The power generated will be transmitted by the grid system of 500, 275 and 132kV voltage. Then will be step down to 33 and 11 kV distributing voltages in the main intake substations. The topic on the power factors fundamentals on reactive, true and appearance power is included in this course too.

A written test will be held at the end of the course.
