This course is a compressed and concise practical hands on related to rotating machinery in the power plants. Every individual topic is demonstrated by instructor via hands-on and practical of actual work. This course does not replace individual full courses which details calculation, actual theory, and skill developments set.
Shaft Alignment Technique Rim-Face and Reverse dial indicator Method is covered via alignment works on actual motor and pump. Another hands on major work is aligning a large Turbine and Generator. This includes shaft but also topics on bearing alignment by piano wire & telescope is covered.
Balancing works on Machine Shop is demonstrated for single plane and two plane motor rotor. Participants will get a little bit knowledge how unbalance is diagnosed via vibration analysis, and how balancing tolerance are graded.
Final topic is Basic Centering & Leveling vertical unit hydro turbine. Practical is using small scale on model Centering & Leveling.
Upon completion of this workshop, participants will be:
