Overview:
This course will introduce use of Vibration signature analysis to determine genuine unbalance affected machinery.  Participants will learn how to setup strobe light key phaser to determine the High spot and heavy spot on both Flexible and Rigid rotors.
 
Methods covered are 4 runs without phase using polar charting, single trial weight and polar charting for single plane corrections, and use on single plane methods for 2 plane corrections. All methods a taught via hands on in our vibration laboratory.
 
Participants will be taught how to determine correction residual unbalance limit and trim the unbalance until limit is achieve for both single and 2 plane unbalance.
Objective:

  • Able to identify characteristic of actual unbalance dominant vibration signature
  • Able to differentiate static and dynamic unbalance
  • Able to perform one and two plane balancing of unbalance rotor to the required standard using polar chart and vector calculations
  • Able to determine limit of residual unbalance

Overview:
This course will provide an overview of standby generator set, primarily focusing on low voltage standby generator system. This course covers fundamental of Low Voltage (LV) generator excitation systems, including: generator, excitation system components, automatic voltage regulator and saturation curve test. The training methodology is theory and practical, where the participants will be actively involved in the hands-on activities. At the end of the course, participants will achieve sound knowledge in troubleshooting generator set problems in accordance with manufacturer’s specification.
Objective:
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Describe the function of generator excitation components
  • Troubleshoot generator faults.
  • Interpret (analyze) generator test results
  • Troubleshoot standby generator set problems

Overview:
This course is designed to explain the basic Standard & Code for Power Plant Construction & Maintenance. Participants will be guided in identify and reviewing the relevant Section for Boiler Design, Pressure Vessel Design, Non-Destructive Examinations & Welding as per the requirement of ASME.

The training format is theory and case study, where the participants will be actively involved in the class & workshop activities. Hence, it will increase their confidence level.

Participant will be taken through the vast experience of Inspection procedure and performance by the trainers. The emphasis is on participants continuing participation in ensuring the ultimate success of the course.
Objective:
After attending this training program, participants will be able to:

  • Enumerate all Sections of ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Codes (BPVC).
