Overview:
This course offers for participants to apply troubleshooting search strategies to several different problem scenarios and effectively identify a mulfunction. Its consists of introduction to troubleshooting;  problems identification and causes; establishing possible causes and true cause; fixing the trouble and thinking beyond fix; solving multiple problems; CCGT plant technical specification; rankine cycle of useful work and condenser losses; P&ID for vacuum system; problem solving (case study 1-vacuum  low); P&ID for condensate system; common factor causing condenser conductivity high; problem solving (case study 2-condensate conductivity high).

Participant will be taken through the vast experience of this course. The emphasis is on participants continuing participation in ensuring the ultimate success of the courses.

Overview:
This is a 3-day instructor-led course for synchronization, covers clock level, clock quality & measurement and design.

The training format is theory and practical, where the participants will be actively involved in the class activities. Hence, it will increase their confidence level.

“Learning by doing” is a basic principle adopted in this training. Participant will be involved in practical sessions on how to supervise SDH, synchronization; design centralized / distributed PRC, synchronization SDH-PCM. Site visit to NLDC telecommunication room also have to help understanding the participant.  Participant will be taken through the vast experience of training by the trainers.  The emphasis is on participants continuing participation in ensuring the ultimate success of the workshop.

Overview:

In an electrical power system, switchgear is the combination of electrical disconnect switches, fuses or circuit breakers used to control, protect and isolate electrical equipment. Switchgear is used both to de-energize equipment to allow work to be done and to clear faults downstream. This type of equipment is directly linked to the reliability of the electricity supply.

Switchgears in substations are located on both the high-voltage and low-voltage side of large power transformers. The switchgear on the low-voltage side of the transformers may be located in a building, with medium-voltage circuit breakers for distribution circuits, along with metering, control, and protection equipment.

In this five days course the participants will be taught on the fundamentals of the switchgears and also on the maintenance expect. They will involve in hand-on sessions as well.

 


Objective:
After attending this course:

The participant should be able to understand and able to explain theoretically and practically the operations and maintenances of various type of circuit breakers, isolators following the TNB Transmission guide lines correctly.
